You cannot really say you have experienced Jericoacoara until you have explored its west side. Away from the village streets and beach bars, this part of Jeri feels raw and untouched, with endless dunes, hidden lagoons, and mangroves that seem to stretch forever.
I joined the West Side Tour, a half-day adventure that costs around R$400 per buggy, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences I have had in Ceará. From crossing the river by ferry to racing over dunes, spotting seahorses, and finishing the day swimming at Lago Grande, every stop offered something different.
Jericoacoara has a unique way of mixing calm and excitement in the same trip. One moment you are flying across the sand with the wind in your face, and the next you are relaxing by the lagoon with grilled fish and a cold drink.
This post gives you a quick look at what the west side of Jeri is like, but if you want the full route, local prices, and practical tips, click the download button below to get your free itinerary ebook.
